A historical piece of land, restored and given new life. They have done a great job of creating interest and bringing in new businesses; without creating a ton of permanent buildings. They have given life to shipping containers and turned them into food stops. Plus many of the old is now new again. I love this part of Asbury Park. It has so much character, with its wide boardwalk, street musicians and the great variety of street food.
Asbury Park is located in Monmouth County, right next door to Ocean Grove New Jersey; which is quite weird in itself. As Ocean Grove is a very religious and spiritual town and Asbury Park is the most alternative areas in New Jersey. Guess that is true testament that everyone can get along if one tries hard enough.
