CULTURE: Towne of Historic Smithville NJ

This was our second time to Historic Smithville and Village Greene, thankfully it was Easter and we arrived early enough to enjoy it; because there were several Easter Bunnies walking around the grounds for photo ops too.

Smithville Towne is made up of authentic building structures, typical of the early days of South Jersey.  The shops are housed in historic and authentic buildings from the late 1700’s.  Each was brought to the grounds from many points in Southern Jersey, then restored to their original appearances.  There are over 40 unique shops and boutiques for you to explore.

No matter your age, there is something for everyone! It is the home of the legendary and historic Smithville Inn, which has been satisfying hungry travelers since 1787.  For the vintage shoppers you will find quaint shops offering antiques, crafts and vintage wares. For the foodies you will find several restaurants, bakeries, candy shops, a winery and even a coffee roaster. For the kiddies you will find vintage arcade games, vintage remote control races & bumper cars, a vintage carousel and an awesome train! For the entire family you will find swans and paddle boats to ride, ducks to watch and feed, plus many walking paths to enjoy.
