FASHION: Salon Series (1) at Phoenix Art Museum Phoenix

Glamour in the post-WWII era. Roberto Cappuci, Emilio Pucci, Shuberth, Simonetta…

Luckily I was in Arizona for a visit during the same time that the Phoenix Art Museum hosted their Salon Series: History of Italian Style | La Dolce Vita; which was led by Curator of Fashion Design, Dennita Sewell, of the Arizona Costume Institute.

The curator explained very interesting facts about the American bailout of the Italian Fashion Industry, which I had never heard about before. She also shared some great stories about Hollywood’s influence on Fashion, along with some great photos from vintage fashion magazines and newspapers.
