Borgata Winter Poker Open 2014
Now a days you can’t go to any tourist vacation spot, without hearing
about some poker tournament or another. But this week is officially
the tournament of tournaments at Borgata. They are hosting the
Borgata Winter Poker Open 2014, right now as a matter of fact, which
literally translates into various tournaments from deep stacks, to the
deepest stack, and everything in between. In the Deeper Stack tournament
1,400 players began; my fiance finished in #20 something, after day 2
of playing 7+ hours a day. I’m not a player, but have been told that if your going
to do it, this is the one! It must be the life changing money you can win.
From January 14, 2014 through January 31, 2014 several
different tournaments take place, all culminating in the big one = the WPT
Borgata Winter Poker Championship Event, where the guaranteed prize
is $3 million for a buy-in of $3,300 + $200 entry fee.
I hear that each year the guarantee gets higher and higher oh my!

The winner of the 2013 World Poker Tour Borgata Winter Open was Andy Hwang,
who defeated James Anderson, to win his first WPT title and the top prize of
$730,053. Not bad for a game of cards.
